Indonesian Trade Expo in Warsaw

Indonesian Trade, Tourism and Investment Exposition in Warsaw - Bridging the Distance.
 
Indonesia is to organise its first "Indonesian Expo of Trade, Tourism and Investment in Eastern Europe" in Warsaw in May 2008.

The exhibition will be held in Poland's Expo XXI convention centre, which covers an area of 10,000 sq metres

Activities during the three-days expo will include an exhibition of key Indonesian products, promotions of tourism packages, traditional cultural performances, business meetings and seminars on investment. The theme of the first Indonesian Expo for Central and East Europe (IE-CEE) will be "Bridging the Distance".

The expo was initiated by nine Indonesian Ambassadors being posted in East European countries, including Serbia, Poland and Russia.

The exhibition will be supported by the Indonesian foreign affairs ministry, the trade ministry, the industry ministry, the investment coordinating board, the cooperatives and small-medium scale business ministry, and the cultural and tourism ministry.

Since 2002, the value of trade between Indonesia and East Europe has increased rapidly by an average of 30 per cent annually and has reached more than US$3 billion. The number of East European tourists visiting Indonesia since 2002 has reached a total of 40,000.
